Martin Löffelholz
has been chair of the Institute for Media and Communication Studies and Professor of Media Studies at the Technische Universität Ilmenau since 1998. Concurrently, he has been serving as an adjunct lecturer at Ateneo de Manila University since 2004. From 2012 to 2015, he was President of the Swiss German University in Jakarta, Indonesia. Since 2002, he is director of the International Crisis Communication Research Group.
Prof. Löffelholz has been teaching at universities in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and North America for more than 30 years and has conducted numerous research projects, especially on journalism, international communication, crisis and war communication, organisational communication, public diplomacy and media in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member states. He has authored or edited more than 300 scientific publications, including 18 books.
